    Terra Square

In 2015, as part of the Imagine Hudsonville 2030 master plan, residents of the city voted on options for community development.  The Terra Square project was given an incredible level of support, receiving a 91.7% approval from survey participants (higher than any other project in its category). City staff are beginning to bring Terra Square to life.  Join in the excitement that this project is creating.  It will spur significant private sector investment, and enhance the vibrancy and livability of Hudsonville.

Farmers Market History

The market began in the year 2000, hosted originally by Gemmen’s Home and Hardware. In 2005, it was relocated to the Hudsonville Farmers Co-op where it has stayed for over ten years. This coming new year the market will plant itself at Terra Square in order to grow, bring on new vendors, and open for an additional day of the week on Saturdays.

Why Terra Square?

Terra Square has been identified as a historically significant building in a redeveloping area of Hudsonville.  Focus groups, made up of regional farmers and purveyors, determined that an ideal market space would have both indoor and outdoor components, with the flexibility to address other community desires.   Terra Square already houses Sonder Provisions restaurant, and event spaces designed for community gatherings.  It also has the flexibility to accomodate future changes and expansion.

Terra Square is a facility owned and operated by the City of Hudsonville, in partnership with the Hudsonville Downtown Development Authority.
